Sewing using a Coverstitch Sewing Machine
The CoverStitch is mostly used for professional looking hem that looks like two to three rows of stitching on the top and a serger like stitch (one or two lines of loops) on the back.
The more rows and loops, the stronger the hem will be.
The commonest hems are double-stitched, with two upper threads and one looper, in order to be very cost-effective.
The benefit of a coverstitch is its stretch ability and the covering of the raw edge all in one pass.
