Sample Making and Prototyping
This is the final step of the Product Development. In this phase we cut and sew of your prototype and send it to you for approval. It is the culmination of a creative journey that allows you to see the finished realized product!
While it is the last step, it certainly isn’t the last in terms of importance: Sample Makers have to be more than home sewers or tailors: sample makers should have knowledge of production methodology and must communicate with the designers, pattern makers, and production managers to guarantee that the sample is being brought to life in the highest quality or artistry, always keeping in mind efficiency for production.
At Urth Apparel, our sample makers must have a minimum of 10 years of sewing experience and must be acquainted with pattern making, product development, production sewing, and industrial sewing machinery, not to mention many other areas where we expect them to have experience.
Our sample makers work closely with our design team and production teams to even engineer accessories and solder metals to make sure the garment is sewn perfectly and in a methodology that is best-fit for production.
This process may not be the cheapest approach, but it results in the highest quality: a cornerstone of our philosophy and approach to making garments at Urth Apparel.
Our goal is to provide you
A first class customer experience.
